Wine Review: This opaque and deep ruby colored 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon based wine from Sodaro is still showing very well. It opens with a black currant and espresso bouquet with hints of boysenberry and black olive. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty black currant and cocoa dust blend with notes of black cherry and clove. There are also hints of oak, black pepper and cinnamon spice at the very end. The finish is dry and its well-managed tannins, acidity and flavors show nice length. Pair with a fireplace on a cold night. With food, I would pair it with Jiko’s grilled wild boar tenderloin. – Enjoy - Ken
