Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark red colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Snowden is very nice. It opens with a dark cherry and blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black cherry with notes of gentle oak. I also detected hints of black currant and a touch of plum. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are well controlled, yet stick around for a while. I would suggest pairing this very nice Cab with New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2013 Snowden Cabernet Sauvignon "The Ranch" greets you with a bouquet of blueberries, blackberry, and hints of savory herbal aromas, like black olives and pencil lead. It has flavors of cherries and anise, with a plush chalky texture. As always, the Cabernet Sauvignon "The Ranch" can be enjoyed immediately and for the next decade.
