Wine Review: This opaque and pitch black colored Cabernet opens with a mild blackberry bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and displays a round mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a gentle and friendly ripe black raspberry with notes of black cherry and a hint of mild oak. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors are slightly prolonged. I also detected some mild and sticky tannins. This Cab is food friendly and should be consumed in the near term with Theresa's meatloaf. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Rich and textured, lush and chewy. The ripe berry flavors lead to notes of chocolate, coffee beans, toffee and hints of herbal smoke, all wrapped around well managed tannins and integration of 100% new oak. Refined elegance yet powerful.
