Wine Review: This light red colored Pinot Noir from the Finger Lakes opens with a light black cherry and cinnamon bouquet with hints of teaberry. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and gentle. The flavor profile is light red plum and gentle teaberry blend with notes of saline and maraschino cherry. I also detected some hints of lime and oolong tea in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins linger nicely. This Pinot would pair well with a salmon burger. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Estate grown Pinot Noir was hand-picked and hand sorted. Two-thirds of the harvest was de-stemmed, and the remaining fruit was kept as whole cluster. Fermented in a Concrete "Diamond," and returned to the same vessel after pressing. Subtle aromatics of tart cherry give and crushed herbs way to a mineral-driven palate with a dry finish. Light bodied and earthy.
