Wine Review: This cloudy deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Sinegal opens with a shy red licorice and black plum bouquet with hints of tea rose and blackberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The wonderful mouthfeel is balanced, round and super smooth. The flavor profile is delicious gentle cassis and black cherry blend with notes of cedar, stony minerality and blackberry. We also detected hints of vanilla and black tea. The finish is dry, and its well-managed tannins build-up and for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would pair this excellent Cab with a porterhouse steak or with Roy’s rib roast. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2021 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon off our estate and surrounding vineyards is an absolute stunner. The aromatics are vibrant and energetic with ample dark cherry, mocha, and sweet tobacco. The palate is elegant and refined while still maintaining remarkable depth that never lets up. Silky tannins lead to a beautiful backdrop of bright acidity and red fruit followed by a long lingering finish. The 2021 vintage is drinking beautifully now and will only continue to improve as it ages.
