Wine Review: This Chenin Blanc from South Africa is a good value. Its bouquet is rich and buttery, with hints of oak and citrus, and perhaps some grapefruit. The wine was medium bodied with nice mouthwatering acidity. It was also smooth and balanced. Its flavor profile is pear with notes of dried apricots and apples. This Chenin Blanc stands really well on its own, but it could also pair nicely with a lobster casserole. It is a very nice bottle of wine for the price. We really enjoyed it. - Karen & Stuart
Winemaker Notes: The wine has a bright straw color, with a nose of passion fruit, watermelon and guava. It coats the palate, with an abundance of kiwi fruit and tropical nuances. A "showstopper," the 2014 Chenin has lush, ripe fruit and good acidity. While outstanding served now, it can be enjoyed within two years of bottling.
