Wine Review: This review was done from the final blend of the new Pisoni Pinot Noir during my visit this summer. It is very dark ruby colored and opens with an attractive cranberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and very concentrated. The flavor profile is a ripe raspberry and black cherry blend. The finish is dry and a bit tingly. Its moderate tannins linger for a little while. This wine should perform very well from the bottle. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: In 2008, we have produced our most compelling Pisoni Vineyard Pinot Noir in quite a few years. The wine, quite simply, is Siduri Pisoni Vineyard Pinot Noir turned up a notch or two. This wine shows incredible fruit concentration, with blue and blackberry pie flavors, hints of warm earth and spice (perhaps from some of the whole clusters used in the ferment), and a full, long finish.
