Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Pinot opens with a fragrant musty cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, silky, and rather concentrated. The flavor profile is a very juicy raspberry with hints of spice and dark chocolate. The finish is dry and its moderate and well managed tannins stick around for some time. This Pinot would be a very good option for duck. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Siduri Pisoni Vineyard Pinot Noir reminds us a bit of our 2000 effort from this vineyard, with its aromas of black fruits and forest floor. There’s a lush mouth-feel with loads of fruit, a purity of flavors, a velvet texture, and yet also good underlying structure. This is a superb wine that should age, much like the 2000, for 8 or more years.
