Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Russian River opens with a very attractive strawberry and mild red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with lots of pleasant acidity and juicy fruit flavors that explode in your mouth. Those flavors are a tasty wild strawberry with notes of red plum and gentle minerality. I also detected a touch of oak, cherry-vanilla and dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors are very nicely prolonged. This Pinot would pair well with Colorado lamb chops. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2014 Siduri Parsons’ Vineyard Pinot Noir is superb Russian River Valley Pinot Noir showing the bright rich cola fruit so common to the region. It is a full-bodied Pinot Noir, with superb concentration and hints of earth and tannin. The finish is long and just a bit tannic, leading one to think that this wine will improve with several years in the bottle.
