Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a fragrant pomegranate and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a juicy black raspberry with notes of minerality and mild oak. I also detected hints of black pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged and linger. I would pair this crowd pleasing Pinot with thyme seasoned pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2011 Siduri Parsons' Vineyard Pinot Noir combines the best characteristics of a ripe site and a cool vintage. It is intense, deep, and focused Pinot Noir that remains lively and balanced due to notable levels of acid and tannins. Flavors of blackberry, raspberries and plums intermingle with spice and minerality to make this a truly compelling Pinot Noir. We truly believe that this wine, as good as it is now, is only just beginning to show the full depth of character that it possesses and that it will only be more compelling with additional time in the cellar.
