Wine Review: This bright red colored Zinfandel based wine opens with a fragrant black raspberry and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty blackberry with notes of oak and strawberry rhubarb. I also detected hints of minerality and black cherry. The finish is dry and has mild tannins that fade away nicely with the flavors. This wine is a versatile barbecue option that I would pair with a pulled pork platter. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A unique blend of grape varietals from a heritage vineyard, half planted 125 years ago and the other half 65 years ago. Traditional Zinfandel palate weight, not too heavy, with the added complexity of the other varietals.
