Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored red blend opens with a faint new leather and blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth and silky. The flavor profile is a mild black cherry and old oak blend with hints of red currant. The finish is dry and its fine tannins are dusty and easy going. This wine is very food friendly and it should be consumed in the near term with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of black cherry, cola, current and tobacco, a supple texture, soft finish, and lingering flavors of black fruit and clove characterize this 2009 bottling of Shining Hill. – Marcus Notaro, Winemaker
