Wine Review: This opaque and very dark garnet colored Cabernet is one of the better mid-tier Cab’s that I have covered from the 2008 vintage. It opens with a mild oak and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is ripe blackberry with notes of pomegranate, oak and a touch of vanilla, and black cherry. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are rather sticky and linger for quite some time after the wine is gone. This wine has lots of flavor, yet needs some fat in the near term. I would serve this very good Cabernet with barbecue grilled Angus steak tips in the near term. Enjoy - Ken
