Wine Review: The "Red Shoulder Ranch" Chardonnay from Shafer is very good again this vintage. It is light yellow colored and opens with a mild pear and light oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth, elegant, and nicely coats the mouth. The flavor profile is a mild oak infused green apple with hints of light lemon. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Chard would pair well with a seafood casserole. Enjoy - Ken
