Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Syrah based wine opens with a musty blackberry and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied and tamer than previous versions of this wine. It is also well balanced, smooth and easy going. The flavor profile is black raspberry and smoked meat with notes of blackberry and oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are a little sticky and linger nicely. This wine is elegant for a big wine and food friendly. I would pair it with slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is a classic Relentless offering tantalizing, vibrant aromas and flavors of Syrah meatiness and a juicy core of black plum, dark chocolate, smoke, white pepper, blackberry, and creme brulee. The mouthfeel is full and liquid-velvet smooth with a finish that lingers on and on. This vintage will offer even more riches with additional years in the cellar.
