Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored Syrah based blend opens with a fragrant black raspberry jam bouquet with hints of boysenberry and vanilla oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black raspberry with notes of blackberry. We also detected hints of black pepper, blueberry and oak. The finish is dry and its chewy moderate tannins last for quite some time. The panel suggested pairing this gem with a lamb kabobs or venison stew. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2009 offers dense, enticing aromas and flavors of purple/black fruit, smoked meat, spice, incense, black plums and berry. Even at this young age it offers elegance wrapped in extract, with ripe tannins and good structure for aging. In the mouth it's full and rich from the first taste through the long finish.
