Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Merlot opens with a black cherry and blueberry bouquet with hints of dried herbs, red plum, and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and a little bright. The flavor profile is tasty black cherry and cedar blend with notes of red raspberry and gentle chalky minerality. We also detected some hints of herbal tea and chocolate in the mix. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins are nicely prolonged. The Tasting Panel would pair this easy to drink Merlot with Hungarian goulash or burger. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Ruby in color; aromatics of cherries, mountain raspberries, dark chocolate, and hints of herbs. Medium body and length; with flavors of black cherries, raspberries and mocha leading into velvety tannins with notes of coco powder and baking spices on the finish. This wine is a great mealtime wine and pairs well with grilled waygu beef hamburgers or portabella mushroom with gouda or white cheddar cheese and grilled onions. This wine will be best enjoyed upon release and over the next five years.
