Wine Review: This clear medium ruby colored Merlot from Walla Walla opens with an intense and complex nose that includes toasted coconut, smokehouse, and ripe plum. I also picked up a bit of tar, pecans, and chocolate as well. It is medium bodied with vibrant plus acidity, and the palate is textured, tight and youthful. The flavors are black plum, tar, blackberry, cedar, graphite, and chocolate. The finish is dry and moderate in length with fine tannins. I would enjoy this very good Merlot with beef stroganoff with egg noodles. – Mark
Winemaker Notes: Ruby in color, with aromatics of chocolate covered raspberries, black cardamom, blackberries, and fresh herbs. This is a medium-bodied wine with flavors of raspberry coulis, fresh cherries, tea leaf and raw sugar. This wine has a nice length with soft tannins finishing with cinnamon stick and semi-sweet chocolate.
