Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Merlot from Seven Hills was very well received by the Tasting Panel. This wine opens with a cherry and blueberry bouquet with a hint of rosemary. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild mineral infused cherry with notes of black coffee and hints of oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. The Panel suggested enjoying this Walla Walla Merlot in the near term with a filet mignon or a veal chop. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: We are very pleased to introduce the premier vintage of Seven Hills Winery "Walla Walla Valley" Merlot. This wine offers all the classic attributes we look for in Merlot. Lush, ripe fruit, a balanced, succulent palate, and accessibility. We blend in a small amount of Cabernet Franc to accentuate floral notes and bring an intriguing undertone of tobacco and brown leaf. Its aroma features boysenberry, sweet black cherry and clove. While on the palate, it is soft and lush with black cherry and spice flavors.
