Wine Review: This Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State is a pretty good every day drinking wine. It opens with a raspberry, red cherry, oak and white pepper like bouquet. On the palate, it is medium to full bodied. It displays red cherry, vanilla, oak and black raspberry flavors. All while remaining soft and round in your mouth. It concludes with a long and extended finish that lingers nicely. We found this Cab to be very food friendly. You could pair it with a variety of foods. We would suggest chili, beef stew, meatloaf, pizza or burgers. Enjoy Karen and Stuart.
Winemaker Notes: The Seven Falls Cabernet opens with darker notes of coffee and cocoa, then transcends into black fruits including cherry and plum, with hints of mint, herb and spice. Powerful and bold, it is full and vibrant, with an elegant finish filled with notes of nut and spice. Serve with Bolognese sauce, braised lamb, and strongly flavored cheeses.
