Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Merlot and Cab based Italian wine opens with a black cherry and cedar closet bouquet with hints of cassis. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, super smooth and robust. The flavor profile is a complex blend of cedar, cinnamon, and black cherry with notes of black coffee and dried salami. We also picked up some hints of red currant, stony minerality, mocha, and black pepper. The finish is very dry, and its dusty young tannins stick around for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would decant this red blend for at least an hour and then serve it with a Kona encrusted well-marbled ribeye or with a charred hanger steak. It was also mentioned that this would go well with a fine cigar. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Color: Ruby red with violet reflections.
Bouquet: Red fruits integrated with toasted coffee notes.
Palate: The wine is full-bodied, with supple tannins.
Pairs well with full flavored meats, game, roasted and braised red meat.
