Wine Review: This dark red colored opens with a black cherry and cigar box bouquet with hints of mint and teaberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. Them mouthfeel is balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced black cherry and blackberry blend with notes of red raspberry and crushed stone. I also detected some hints of black tea, thyme, and cinnamon. The finish is dry and its medium tannins build-up nicely and linger. This wine paired perfectly with my Manzo Brasato con Funghi (Fork tender slow braised beef, shallot, carrot, garlic & burgundy mushroom ragu tossed with rigatoni pasta) at Lucia's Tavola in Ayer. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense ruby red in color with a fruity, spicy bouquet and ripe cherry and berries on the palate. Pairs well with full-flavored meats, game and roasts.
