Wine Review: This medium ruby colored wine from Tuscany opens with a black cherry and moist pipe tobacco bouquet with notes of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and dusty. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry and oak blend with notes of stone minerality. I also detected hints of black raspberry and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its very dusty tannins and flavors stick around for a very long time. I would decant this wine for about an hour and then serve it with a marinated grilled hanger steak. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The intense ruby red color is a prelude to ample aromas reminiscent of ripe cherries and wild berries, well blended with spicy notes that give class and complexity. Round, decidedly harmonious and vibrant on the palate, it shows depth and perfect tannic texture.
