Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Sangiovese opens with a black cherry and dark chocolate bouquet with a hint of old oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is very Old World. It features cedar, tart cherry and minerality. I also detected hints of licorice and green olive. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and flavors fade away nicely. This wine is food friendly and it will pair well with Italian meals. I would pair it with meat lasagna. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense ruby red in color, the wine has a fruity, spicy bouquet and ripe cherry and berries on the palate. It has the vivid acidity typical of Sangiovese, with well-integrated tannins and an earthy finish. Delicious with full flavored braised red meats and roasts.
