Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Italian wine is a very versatile food wine. It opens with a mild black cherry bouquet with hints of cedar, hazelnut and some earth tones. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced acidity and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle black cherry with notes of minerality, spice and oak. The Panel described it as old school, well made and mature. It finishes dry and its fine tannins fade away nicely. The panel suggested pairing this wine with baked lasagna or a stuffed pork roast. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The wine has a deep, opaque purple color suggesting intensity and extraction. Heady aromas and flavors deliver jammy black fruit with notes of cedar. The body is full, with silky tannins and a long, penetrating finish.
