Wine Review: This light white gold colored Chardonnay from Sequoia Grove is very good, was well received, and is Theresa approved! It opens with a mild Bosc pear bouquet with hints of cantaloupe and orange zest. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and pleasantly fresh. The flavor profile is a poached pear and chalky minerality blend with notes of gentle oak and white tea. I also detected some hints of lemon verbena and tangerine. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. This versatile and food friendly Chard would pair well with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our 2022 Napa Valley Chardonnay opens with bright aromas of lemon curd, grapefruit, orange blossom, apple, and wet stone with hints of jasmine and vanilla. This Chardonnay is medium-bodied and balanced with flavors of honeysuckle, white peach, lemon zest, and hints of nutmeg and cardamom. The wine has a creamy mouthfeel with bright acidity leading to notes of lemon oil and a long finish.
