Wine Review: This hazy and midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Sequoia Grove opens with a black currant and black licorice bouquet with hints of black cherry, cinnamon, mint, and light tobacco. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, very smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is milk chocolate and black currant blend with notes of stone dust and black pepper. We also detected hints of oak, mild anise, and red raspberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and dusty tannins have nice length. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a New York strip steak or with Korean beef bulgogi. Enjoy - KWGTP
