Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Sequoia Grove is excellent and very impressive. It opens with a blackberry, dark chocolate, and black currant bouquet with hints of black licorice, black cherry, and violets. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, seamless, sophisticated, and structured. The flavor profile is delicious blackberry, vanilla, and graphite blend with notes of black licorice and black currant. We also detected hints of green tea and blueberry. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins build-up and stick around for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would certainly drink this Cab on its own. With food, we would pair it with a porterhouse steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
