Wine Review: This inky purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Sequoia Grove is excellent! It opens with a shy black cherry and light oak bouquet with hints of lingonberry, sage, light tobacco, and violets. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and seamless with nice overall palate coverage. The flavor profile is mild black currant and gentle graphite blend with notes of marionberry and black tea. We also detected hints of plum, tobacco, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and well-managed dusty tannins are very extended. The Tasting Panel would pair this youthful Cab with New York strip steak or Roy’s rib roast. Enjoy - KWGTP
