Wine Review: This white gold colored Vermentino from Seghesio opens with a wax candle bouquet with hints of ginger and almond. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral infused ginger ale and almond blend. I also detected hints of yellow grapefruit. The finish is dry and subtly drifts away. This Vermentino would pair well with fish tacos or a ham and spinach quiche. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of ripe pear, orange blossom and citrus leaves give way to a palate of lemon curd and fresh-cut pears. Vermentino's thick skins contribute a lush texture that balances its crisp acidity, creating a delightful wine to pair with shellfish, grilled fish, citrus salad, and risotto with English peas and asparagus.
