Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel was a crowd pleaser and the best value in our Big Blind Tasting. It opens with an inviting boysenberry and plum bouquet with a hint of raspberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and very approachable. The flavor profile is a pleasant mineral and plum blend with notes of oak and some hints of chocolate. The finish is dry and its well-managed tannins drift away nicely. The Panel suggested that this Zin is a very nice food wine. We suggested pairing it with a filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Spicy, lush black fruit of Alexander Valley. Briary and raspberry flavors, along with structure, of cooler Dry Creek Valley. Balanced and elegantly structured. Pair with pizza, barbecue, spicy cuisine or cured salami.
