Wine Review: This very pale white gold colored Vermentino from the Russian River was well received by our mini-group of tasters. It opens with a mild faint Anjou pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, pleasantly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral infused pecan with notes of tart green apple. We also detected hints of pink grapefruit and touch of lime. This finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. We thought this Vermentino would pair well with a linguini and clam sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of ripe pear, lime zest and citrus leaves. Flavors of ripe honeydew melon and fresh cut pears. Vermentino's thick skins contribute a lush texture that balances its crisp acidity. Pair with shellfish, grilled fish, and risotto with peas.
