Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel opens with a fragrant boysenberry bouquet with hints of blueberry and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and a little juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty plum and minerality blend with notes of craisin. We also detected a touch of cinnamon towards the end. The finish is long with dry moderate tannins and its flavors still present. The Panel suggested pairing this Zin with barbecue pulled pork. Winemaker Notes: Deeply perfumed aromas of raspberry and old vine Zin's intrinsic briary spiciness. Layered bright fruit flavors reminiscent of a cherry pie with graham cracker crust and baking spice undertones. Low yields in the vineyard preserved the vibrant natural acidity and balanced tannins, leading into a long, persistent finish.
