Wine Review: This ruby colored “Old Vine” Zinfandel from Seghesio is very nice. It opens with a blueberry and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry and black cherry blend with notes of oak and minerality. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are well controlled and linger nicely. This Zin is ready to go and would pair well with a filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Raspberry and briary underbrush aromas. Intense flavors of dark cherry, spice box, and sandalwood. Rich mid-palate, finishing long with a refreshing lingering acidity. Pair with BBQ beef short ribs, spicy tomato sauce, and gorgonzola cheese.
