Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel opens with a very mild black raspberry and boysenberry bouquet with some musty forest floor mixed in as well. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, lush and savory. The flavor profile is a mild plum with notes of blackberry, black pepper and spice. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are tingly and lengthy. The panel suggested that this Zin would pair well with barbecue beef ribs. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deeply perfumed aromas of dark berries and old vine Zin's intrinsic briary spiciness. Layered bright fruit flavors reminiscent of a rich berry pie with a toasted crust. Old Vine Zinfandel's complex spice undertones. Low yields in the vineyard preserved the vibrant natural acidity and balanced tannins. Long, persistent finish. Pair with beef, barbecue, spicy cuisine and French bleu cheeses.
