Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a Bartlett pear and vanilla oak like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty pear with notes of apple and a touch of oak, minerality, and lemon. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely after the wine is gone. This Chardonnay is very friendly and would pair well with many foods. I would pair it with steamers with drawn butter. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2011 Sonoma County Chardonnay is one of the most elegant and reserved Chardonnays we have ever produced. It features citrus, green apple, vanilla and caramel in the nose with a dollop of roasty/toasty oak on the palate. It is an understated, balanced and refreshing wine that pairs beautifully with food.
