Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot opens with a cherry cola and black raspberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, shows slightly elevated acidity along with a round soft mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a blackberry and red currant blend with hints of strawberry and cherry cola. The finish is dry and it mild tannins are slightly prolonged. This wine is food friendly and would pair with well with slow cooked pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The uncommonly dark ruby color indicates the wine's depth and intensity. The bouquet is packed lavender, wild berries, Oriental spice and background oak. The palate is medium bodied with black cherry and wild berry fruits. It is framed nicely by silky tannins. The finish has the lingering Oriental spice notes we associate with Russian River Pinot. In short, this is a silky, elegant, terroir-driven Pinot Noir from a great vintage and great region!
