Wine Review: This pale straw colored Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand is a very good value. It opens with a yellow grapefruit bouquet with hints of lime zest and nectarine pit. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and slightly acidic with ripe fruit flavors that make it seem a tad sweet. Those flavors are predominately yellow grapefruit with hints of lemon-lime and ginger. The finish is very refreshing and its acidity and flavors linger nicely. If you like a citrus styled Sauvignon Blanc, you with like this one. I would serve it with swordfish skewers. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A lifted nose showing refreshing herbal notes, snow pea, melon, and fresh guava. Light bodied and refreshing with typical Marlborough flavors of passion fruit, gooseberry, and grapefruit. A pleasing herbaceous thread leads to a long, lingering finish. Perfect for drinking immediately, this Sauvignon Blanc will be at its best over the next two years. Enjoy with seafood or chicken served over grilled vegetables/salad.
