Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from New Zealand opens with a plum and old oak like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and a tad sweet. The flavor profile is an oak influenced strawberry with notes of red plum. I also detected hints of minerality and clove. The finish is dry and it subtlety fades away nicely. This Pinot is a very good value and would be a very good glass pour. It is versatile and would pair nicely with a mushroom burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Ripe, red cherries and dark berries followed by toasty oak. Raspberries, chocolate and concentrated black cherry, with well-balanced acidity and a fine powdered structure is followed by toasty oak and spice. An ideal match for mushroom, tomato-based or succulent red meat dishes.
