Wine Review: This faint straw colored Chardonnay from Santa Barbara County is extraordinarily good. It opens with a mild pear bouquet with hints of apple. The flavor profile is a tasty apple with notes of beautifully integrated minerality. I also detected a touch of lemon and kiss of oak. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This Chard is extremely food friendly and would pair well with grilled swordfish. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Amazing Nose!! You could sit and just smell it. Complex layers of lemon grass and orange blossom mingle with quince, pear and grapefruit. Magnolia and lemon verbena with hints of briny river stone and mineral notes. Wow, this wine will age, you can smell it! On the palate: Crisp pear, salted grapefruit and quince are long on the palate, with a profound and complex minerality trail into a subtle creamy vanilla oak finish. This wine is so complex and you instantly realize its aging potential.
