Wine Review: This bright white gold colored Sauvignon Blanc from Schweiger opens with a fragrant pink grapefruit and lime bouquet with a hint of asparagus, wet stone, and orange bell pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with nicely integrated acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, super smooth and polished for a Sauvignon Blanc. The flavor profile is a very tasty orange bell pepper, stone dust, and pink grapefruit blend with notes of lemon-lime and white tea. We also detected hints of white pepper and vanilla. The finish is dry and drifts away nicely. The Tasting Panel would suggest pairing this Sauvignon Blanc with grilled mahi mahi, crab cakes, or with oysters. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This Sauvignon Blanc has beautiful aromas of citrus, lime, and passion fruit. Harvested from the cool-climate influences of Sonoma, it opens on the palate and presents layered complexity, zest, and a finish of layered grapefruit and minerality. Exquisitely crisp with a lingering finish, this wine would be an ideal pairing with a goat cheese salad or a crudité platter.
