Wine Review: This straw-colored Blanc de Noirs from Schramsberg also has a slight coral ting. It displays lots of random streaming tiny bubbles. It opens with a bread dough and green apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is very well-balanced, smooth, and decadent. The flavor profile is a tasty, crushed stone minerality and green apple blend with hints of lemon, walnut, and marzipan. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. This Sparkling wine is very refined and was very well-received. We would pair it with baked haddock. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2019 Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs opens with aromas of passion fruit, loquat, strawberry, pear, pineapple, and almost ripe peach, which harmonize with notes of ginger, vanilla, blanched almond, and nutmeg. The palate begins with a bright and juicy entry, that integrates dense and lively layers of zesty orange, nectarine, and tropical fruit. Its mouthwatering acidity and verve lead to a balanced, clean and crisp finish.
