Wine Review: This coral colored Brut Rose from Schramsberg opens with many random streaming tiny bubbles. The bouquet features attractive rose petals, strawberry and bread dough. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity and rounded edges. The flavor profile is a bread dough and ruby grapefruit blend with notes of marzipan, orange and lemon. We also detected some hints of hazelnut, vanilla and strawberry mixed in. The finish is dry, refreshing and has moderate length. We would pair this elegant sparkler with shrimp scampi or baked stuffed sole. Enjoy - Ken & Mark
Winemaker Notes: The 2017 Brut Rosé has generous aromas of strawberry, watermelon and raspberry. Its fruitful nose is complemented by notes of red cherry, pomegranate and cranberry-lime. On the palate, there are lush flavors of mango, mandarin orange and peach, with soft touches of brioche, orange zest and vanilla. The fruitful finish has a juicy center with bright acidity.
