Wine Review: This coral colored sparkling wine from Schramsberg displays plenty of streaming bubbles. It opens with a fragrant doughy bouquet with a hint of red cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, gentle and elegant. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused light red cherry with a hint of golden raisin. The finish is dry and refreshing. This Rose sparkler is food friendly and would pair well with mushroom risotto. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2015 Brut Rose has generous aromas of candied orange, raspberry preserve, cranberry and orange blossom. Its fruitful nose is complemented by notes of vanilla, honey and brioche. On the palate, there are juicy flavors of peach, strawberry shortcake and lemon curd, with soft touches of marzipan. The wine has a fresh, juicy acidity which drives to a bright, clean finish. Enjoy this rich, delicious sparkler on almost any occasion. Try it with sushi, salmon, rock shrimp, or raspberry tarts.
