Wine Review: This pale coral colored sparkling wine from Schramsberg opens with a strawberry bouquet with hints of red raspberry and wet slate. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, balanced and has a round and friendly mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a tasty mineral infused strawberry and bread dough with hints of cinnamon and red raspberry. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. This sparkler is very food friendly and it would pair well with grilled salmon steaks. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2014 Brut Rose has generous aromas of mixed strawberry, rose petal, and melon. Its fruitful nose is complemented by notes of raspberry and cranberry. On the palate, there are rich bursts of baked pear and caramelized toffee. The wine has a fresh, juicy acidity which drives to a bright, vibrant finish.
