Wine Review: This pale straw colored Sparkler from Schramsberg displays lots of streaming bubbles. The bouquet features fresh green apple, clementine and wet stone aromas. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and bright. The flavor profile is a mineral infused green apple and lemon blend with hints of kumquat and ginger snaps. The finish is dry and refreshing with some lingering effervescence. The Panel suggested pairing this Sparkler with shrimp scampi, seared tuna or Wellfleet oysters. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2014 Blanc de Blancs has bright and fresh aromas of green apple, apricot and orange blossom. The fruitful fragrance intermingles with hints of honey, and lemon zest. Freshly sliced peaches, pear and bright pineapple flavors carry vibrant length on the palate. While this wine can be enjoyed by itself as an aperitif, it is also perfect with fresh oysters, crab cakes, ceviche and grilled sea bass.
