Wine Review: This light pink colored Sparkler from Schramsberg was well received by the panel. It opens with a bread dough and faint strawberry bouquet with hints of pink grapefruit. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, displays pleasant acidity, and approachable. The flavor profile is a tasty mild red raspberry and strawberry blend with notes of minerality. We also detected hints of plum, watermelon and toast. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. The panel suggested pairing this very nice Rose sparkler with fresh sliced salmon or a lobster casserole. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2012 Brut Rosé has generous aromas of mixed red berries, orange blossom, and white peach. Its fruitful nose is complemented by notes of shortcake and cream. The palate bursts with flavors of raspberry sorbet, lemon custard, and summer apricot. The wine has a fresh and juicy acidity which drives to a supple, round finish.
