Wine Review: This energetic Rosé sparkler from Mendocino County is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In the glass, it is a pale salmon color with numerous streams of small bubbles. It offers strawberry creme, red cherry, cantaloupe, and chalk dust aromas. It is bright and fresh on the palate, with a lasting mousse, medium-plus body, medium-plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, layered, and graceful. I detected flavors of strawberries, Gala apple, lemon juice, and stone dust, along with notes of cranberry and brioche. The finish is very dry, refreshing, and lingers for quite a while. Serve this easy drinking Rosé bubbly at brunch with eggs Benedict topped with fresh crab. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: The wine has a pale salmon hue with integrated aromas of fresh raspberry jam and wild strawberries on a cream-covered pastry base. The flavors are layered, round, fresh, fruity, and long.
