Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Sbragia performed very well in front of the Tasting Panel. It opens with a birch beer and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and restrained for a Zin. The flavor profile is a mild black cherry and oak blend with notes of black plum, black pepper, dark chocolate with a hint of black tea. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins and a touch of heat drift away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Zin with grilled pork chops. Enjoy – KWGTP
