Wine Review: This Zinfandel-driven blend with 5% Petite Sirah from the Dry Creek Valley is deep garnet in color and opens with aromas of freshly turned loam, baking chocolate and allspice. On the palate, the wine is medium-plus in body where bright and fully extracted small fruits like acai berry, loganberry and strawberry dominate the flavor profile. This is a bold style wine with stout structure provided by silky tannin, moderate acidity and medium oak. The warm and tingly finish seems unending. Serve with polpettone (Italian meatloaf). - Jeoff
Winemaker Notes: Gino's Zinfandel represents a traditional field blend that my grandfather, Gino made each year. This vintage is full of lush ripe red fruit. It has a core of sweet red current and strawberry with a bright finish which make this such a great match for many foods.
